Vasectomy

A vasectomy is a simple male sterilization surgery performed in our office.

What to Expect for your Vasectomy

The small tubes in the scrotum that carry sperm are cut or blocked, preventing sperm from leaving your body and causing pregnancy. The procedure is quick, and you can go home the same day. It’s extremely effective, with a 99% success rate in preventing pregnancy.

We use a technique called “No Scalpel Vasectomy”, which is an effective birth control option for men certain they don’t want children in the future. This safe and fast outpatient procedure removes a small 1cm portion of the vas deferens tube and seals it to stop sperm from leaving the testicle. It has a low risk of complications and is performed with local anesthesia and a relaxing medication. You will need two visits to our clinic: an initial consultation and the procedure visit.

Before getting a vasectomy, you must be sure you don’t want to father a child in the future. Although reversals are possible, vasectomies should be considered a permanent form of male birth control.
